Shame and banking have always gone together in my pocketbook.

So it shouldn't surprise any of you that this week, shame banking is again paying big dividends.

I've just transferred over my week's goal of $260 toward credit card debt, as part of my ongoing effort to combat The Big Drift.

Plus, I added $123 in repayment for some very nice and wholly unnecessary meals at the Parkway Deli in Silver Spring (where the matzoh balls will make you see your Maker), and Meridian Pint on 11th Street.

If you are planning to behave shamefully this week, I strongly suggest you go where they are serving the Flying Dog Wildeman.
